Lewis & Clark Exhibit
Lewis and Clark Exhibit Building in the old depot that is now City Hall.
Inside the Lewis and Clark Exhibit
Located at the foot of Main Street in the old Weston railroad depot (currently used as City Hall), the exhibit chronicles the journey of the Lewis and Clark expedition, focusing on its stop in this area on its way up the Missouri River in the summer of 1804. The exhibit explores the flora, fauna, and topography as observed by the expedition here before Weston was founded. Visitors see the list of supplies carried by the expedition and read observations made by the explorers as they passed this place. Interactive elements of the exhibit ask what visitors would take with them if they were making the same journey today. The exhibit also presents a brief history of the founding of Weston in the years following the Expedition.
The Lewis and Clark exhibit in the Depot is also the trailhead for the Weston Bluffs Trail, a 3-mile walking trail that heads south along the Missouri River, past Weston Bend State Park, to Beverly, Missouri. Along the trail are six interpretive wayside exhibits that further chronicle the Lewis and Clark Expedition as it moved along the Missouri river near what would one day become Weston.
Open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. No admission fee. Self-guided tour.

Weston Bluffs Trail
Walking interpretive exhibits
The Lewis and Clark exhibit at the Weston City Hall also serves as the trailhead for the Weston Bluffs Trail, a 3-mile walking and biking trail that follows the Missouri River from Weston to Beverly. The Lewis and Clark theme continues along the trail, highlighted by six interpretive wayside exhibits that capture the history and natural features of this area as they would have appeared to the Lewis and Clark Expedition when it passed by in 1804.
